ready to reach our readers?

Our readers are savvy, connected, community-minded individuals with insatiable appetites for food knowledge and know-how—they live as far north as Newburyport, as far south as Foxborough and as far west as the Quabbin Reservoir. By advertising with us, you will reach a broad audience of knowledgeable consumers who associate this magazine with the latest, the greatest and the best.

Edible Boston and Edible Worcester are quarterly magazines that promote the abundance of local food in Greater Boston, Worcester County and the surrounding communities. Through our print issues, website, digital guides, e-newsletters and social media we celebrate family farmers, fishermen, artisans, chefs, nonprofits and other food-related businesses for their dedication to using high quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The local food landscape has changed dramatically since we launched Edible Boston in 2006. We’ve seen a rapid growth in farm-to-table restaurants, farmers markets, CSA programs and local food delivery services. In the past eight years alone we’ve seen the opening of the Boston Public Market, Bow Market, Time Out Boston, Hub Hall and High Street Place; multiple incubator kitchens, food rescue systems and plentiful food tech innovation; and above all, a developing, insatiable consumer appetite for the safety and efficiency of local food and drink.

Since its inception, Edible Boston has provided inspiration and information to our readers as they build on this existing momentum, and in 2019 we took our mission west with the launch of greater Worcester’s very own title, Edible Worcester.

We answer important questions: Why does locally grown food cost more? Where does all that discarded food end up? Which local seafood is most sustainable, and what does that even mean?

Our original, approachable recipes encourage readers to get back in the kitchen and cook real food, highlighting the best of what’s in season. And with stunning photography and riveting writing, our magazines educate, entertain and entice our readers to broaden their support of local producers.

After more than 15 years in print, Edible Boston’s content inspires our readers to shop frequently at their local farms, CSAs and farmers markets, nearby specialty stores and small businesses all around eastern MA. They’re purchasing more locally produced food than ever before, often directly from the makers themselves.

SO, WHO ARE THESE READERS?

They’re over 500K strong (135K copies printed with a 4x pass around rate). They’re interested in locally grown good food and drink, residing in the five counties around greater Boston—Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Middlesex and Worcester (plus a growing number of out-of-state subscribers). They read every issue cover to cover, and use the advertisements as a guide to sustainable living: where to shop, dine, visit, donate and volunteer in support of their local communities. Simply put, they are the most interested and influential people you can reach.

Edible Boston and Edible Worcester have been instrumental in changing our regional food landscape. We publish and distribute between 25,000 and 35,000 magazines each season and give them away for free—but we can only do that with the help of advertising partners like you. Please join us as we continue our mission to grow and support the local food community.
