It can’t be Labor Day already, can it?

And just like that…it’s almost September. Labor Day always comes as a bit of a shock, but this year it seemed to arrive at warp speed. Despite the many sunny days ahead, and what’s arguably the best time of year in New England, the ceremonial End Of Summer is upon us. I for one am already stockpiling summer produce to make sauces and jams for the colder months.

If you, like me, aren’t quite ready for summer to end, rest assured: Below is a list of fun events to help you celebrate the end of the season.

Lecture Series 2024

• Janice Wong (Asia’s Best Pastry Chef award, Singapore’s 2am dessert)

• Giorgia Caporuscio (Master Pizzaiola, New York City’s Don Antonio)

• Kyo Pang (NYC’s Malaysian café Kopitiam)

• Bryan Furman (Pitmaster, Georgia)

• Karen Akunowicz (Fox & the Knife Enoteca in Boston)

• Joanne Chang (Flour Bakery and Café, Myers and Chang)

• Alex Atala (D.O.M. restaurant in São Paulo, Brazil)

All talks are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and will be held on Mondays at 7:00pm in the Harvard Science Center (1 Oxford St., Cambridge, MA., Hall C)

• Each presentation will begin with a 15-minute lecture about the scientific topics from that week’s class by a faculty member from the Harvard course

• Seating for all lectures is first come, first seated

• Lectures will be posted on YouTube after each event
